Leeds United hierarchy will already be scouring market for January transfers

The Leeds United hierarchy will already be scouring the market to make some January transfers when the window reopens, according to Leeds Live.

There is no question that Leeds need to bolster their ranks and January presents the perfect opportunity for Jesse Marsch to do so.

The report admits that Leeds will be “scouring the market” to make improvements to their woeful defence that is currently leaking Premier League goals.

“As such, it’s clear that Leeds must make stride towards improvement at the back over the next two months and while Jesse Marsch may focus his attentions on the training pitch, the hierarchy will be scouring the market,” said journalist William Jackson as quoted by Leeds Live.

Let’s hope Marsch doesn’t fully turn away from the transfer market to make things right on the training pitch, this is a mistake that’s been made before.

Good news.

This is the news all Whites will want to hear, the club’s hierarchy making some solid efforts to bring in new talents to the club in January.

Obviously, we’ve heard this kind of hearsay before and the summer transfer window highlighted that Leeds doesn’t always make the signings they are supposed to make.

Nevertheless, the January transfer window is the chance to put things right, hopefully, Leeds sign a solid left-back and a new centre-forward.

Both are musts for Leeds right now, the club doesn’t have a recognised left-back who is up to doing the job and neither do they have an out-and-out poacher.

Both these problems can be solved in January and it will be interesting to see how quickly Marsch would integrate said signings into the team.

One thing is for sure, defensive reinforcements will undoubtedly transform Leeds’ woeful backline and could potentially catapult them up the Premier League table.
