Leeds United head the hunt for Birmingham City youngster George Hall

Leeds United “head the hunt” for Birmingham City young midfielder George Hall, as per Alan Nixon.

Writing on his Patreon (6 November), the Sun journalist has reported that the young midfielder could be available to buy in the January window.

The Whites could try their luck in January. His lack of game time is encouraging them to pounce.

Good move?

The 18-year-old made his senior appearances for Birmingham City last season, and has made 17 appearances in the Championship so far.

He was expected to make the breakthrough for regular games this season, a reason why he signed a new deal with the club. But that hasn’t happened.

The youngster has only started one game recently, and now several Premier League clubs including Leeds are vying for his signature.

The midfield is one area where Jesse Marsch could look to bolster in January, or next summer. Adam Forshaw is likely to leave at the end of the season, and that could open the door for potential new arrivals.

Having said that, the Whites could also look at experienced players in the midfield role. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how things shape up in a few months’ time.

Meanwhie, the Whites may turned the tide after they earned a back-to-back wins in the league, beating AFC Bournemouth 4-3 on Saturday at Elland Road.

In other Leeds United news, Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta have started scanning the market for potential upgrades on Jesse Marsch at Elland Road
