Leeds United have made decision on Kalvin Phillips as Man City hold talks over more
Leeds United are prepared to part company with their star midfielder Kalvin Phillips in the summer window, according to a report from 90 Min.
The likes of Newcastle United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, Aston Villa and Manchester United have tracked him for a year, but it’s Manchester City who have opened talks to sign the England international.
City have emerged as favourites to land Phillips over a deal worth around £50m with it being reported that they’ve completed their “background work” on the 26-year-old.

Invest wisely
It seems like Leeds are resigned to losing Phillips, although the England midfielder has not expressed any desire to leave.
The harsh reality is that every player has a price, and at some point, the club need to make those bold decisions. City are offering good money for Phillips, and it remains to be seen if they can agree to a deal.
Raphinha is also another player who is likely to depart this summer on a big-money transfer.
Jesse Marsch will have more money to spend in the market, and he needs to make the best use of it.

Marc Roca is on his way to join Elland Road, and hopefully, his move will be completed by the end of the week.
If Phillips departs, Leeds need to bring in one or two solid midfielders to fill his void.
According to journalist, Dean Jones, the Whites have earmarked Sander Berge of Sheffield United as an option but he is valued at around £25m [Give Me Sport]. There are better players around in that range.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have verbally agreed a deal for a Spanish club to make a windfall due to a 20 per cent transfer clause.
