Leeds United have Jesse Marsch problems behind the scenes - Richard Keys
Leeds United are going to struggle this season because there is “too much going on behind the scenes”, according to Richard Keys.
The Whites only avoided relegation on the final day of last season, but after a busy transfer window, that saw the exit of star men Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha offset by six signings and counting, there are high hopes for the new campaign.
But beIN Sports anchor Keys has suggested there are issues relating to manager Jesse Marsch that will prevent the club from having an improved performance in the Premier League.
Writing on his latest blog post on Thursday (4 August), he said when predicting how United would do this year: “Leeds are interesting. I quite liked Jesse Marsch when he arrived, but I’m not hearing good things.
“Like Everton – they’re another club where there’s too much going on behind the scenes for it to be healthy.
“Verdict? Another struggle.”

Concerning
The proof will be in the performances and the results but the suggestion that there are issues behind closed doors at the club before the first game has even kicked off is hardly encouraging.
Despite a few hiccups when results took a turn for the worse during the relegation battle, the transition from totemic manager Marcelo Bielsa to Marsch has not been too turbulent.
There have been some questions raised on either side about his overtly positive manner versus an unwillingness to accept him as an American in sections of the UK media.
But he ultimately got the job of keeping the Whites in the top flight done last term and the club have gone about refitting the squad in his image this summer.
Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams, and Rasmus Kristensen have all come in with prior experience of working with the coach and there have been some encouraging performances later in the preseason.
If there is something amiss at the club then it is sure to come out sooner or later, and no doubt sooner if results aren’t positive from the start.
In other Leeds United news, it is “very possible” that the club complete a major signing from Europe still before the end of the window.
