Leeds United have huge £200m financial boost after Premier League promotion
Leeds United will soon return to the Premier League after a two-year exile, which could potentially bring significant financial benefits to Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s team hosted Bristol City on Monday (28 April) at home as they beat the visitors 4-0, having already confirmed automatic promotion to the top flight.
The Whites now have a chance to win the Championship title, with Burnley only trailing them on goal difference ahead of the final game of their season.
Premier League football will be back at Elland Road in the upcoming campaign, giving the West Yorkshire outfit some major incentives.

Premier League promotion to get Leeds United £200m in broadcast money
Having won promotion to the top flight, the Whites are effectively guaranteed a minimum of £200million in broadcast money over the next three years, according to The Athletic.
The news outlet reports (29 April) that the West Yorkshire outfit will earn a significant sum from the broadcasting deal, even if they’re relegated after one season.
While the broadcast terms are set to increase next term, based on the current TV cycle, the West Yorkshire outfit will earn around £110m in their first year.
Subsequently, if the Peacocks are relegated, they’ll receive £48m and £39m from the first and second parachute payments, respectively.

49ers Enterprises have no excuse in summer transfer window
49ers Enterprises should reinforce Farke’s team in the upcoming transfer window to ensure Premier League safety.
Maintaining top-flight status will only benefit the American owners, and they should do everything in their power to ensure the Whites don’t suffer immediate relegation.
Farke’s future at Elland Road has been a topic of discussion since the West Yorkshire outfit confirmed promotion, which doesn’t make sense.
Leeds should focus on planning for reinforcements with the German manager next summer, rather than thinking about his possible dismissal.
Competition (2024/25) | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses |
Championship | 45 | 28 | 13 | 4 |
The 48-year-old head coach has done enough in the current campaign to lead the Whites in the Premier League.
Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town have shown how hard it can be for promoted sides to remain in the top flight.
Changing managers didn’t work for the Saints or the Foxes, and better recruitment could’ve arguably given them a better chance of surviving the drop.
With the financial boost the West Yorkshire outfit are set to receive, it would be sensible to spend that money on building a competitive team.
