Leeds United have had ‘shackles come off’ under Jesse Marsch – Ian Harte
Things are looking good again for Leeds United as they have bounced back from a torrid run to win back-to-back games under Jesse Marsch.
The Premier League table is now looking far less worrisome for Whites supporters after two late winners against Norwich City and Wolves before the international break.
Leeds players have earned a good rest after their heroics in the previous week or two but attention will soon turn towards their next game.

Former Leeds United defender Ian Harte has given his verdict on Marsch’s style of play and how he has implemented it onto the players at Elland Road.
“It looks like he gets on well with the players; he’s trying to implement his own style,” Harte said courtesy of freebets.com, via Yorkshire Evening Post.
“In terms of how they’ve played, it’s been very gung-ho, open football and, under Jesse, he’s come in and sorted out a structure within the defence where they’re no longer running all over the shop, which has worked well for the last two games.
“I think Marcelo controlled a hell of a lot of what went on at the club; I think the shackles have come off a bit and the lads are able to relax a little bit more, smile a bit more.
“Of course, on the training pitch, you need to be serious, but you have to be able to enjoy it and play with a smile on your face.”

Keep it coming
It’s strange to think that the Leeds players had some kind of shackles on under Marcelo Bielsa but maybe they were being forced to play a certain way or not play at all.
It became obvious towards the end of his tenure that his time had passed but it was still hard to see him leave.
Marsch’s job is a tough one having to follow Bielsa but he seems to be coping just fine with the pressure and Elland Road is a happy place once more.
There is an element of freedom compared to the strict regime of the Argentine and the players look to be enjoying themselves again.
It isn’t just the two successive wins that have made this happen either because even under the previous management there were good runs of results at times.
Bielsa is now a thing of the past at Thorp Arch, now is the time of Marsch madness and we love it.
