Leeds United: Georginio Rutter footage emerges at Thorp Arch after injury news

Footage has emerged of Leeds United star Georginio Rutter at Thorp Arch today after he missed the 3-2 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea through injury.

The Frenchman was filmed in discussion with Leeds Rhinos rugby stars, as shared by BBC journalist Adam Pope on X, despite not featuring in the squad which faced the Blues.

It was reported ahead of the showdown with Chelsea that Rutter would miss out with a hip injury, although he is now expected to be fit for the trip to Huddersfield.

Leeds United will need Georginio Rutter to return from injury ASAP

The injury to Rutter is not thought to be a significant one, which will come as a huge relief to Daniel Farke, with the attacker providing a key part of his squad during the impressive run of form they have found.

Leeds are currently unbeaten in nine league games, winning eight of them, and the presence of Rutter in the number ten role has played a huge part in that success.

His performances at Elland Road so far this season have earned the Frenchman comparisons to footballing legends, the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Dennis Bergkamp, in what has been a breakthrough season for Leeds.

With six goals and 12 assists to his name in the Championship this season, Farke and the Elland Road crowd will have their fingers crossed that he can return to first-team action as quickly as possible after his appearance at Thorp Arch today.
