Leeds United gem Charlie Crew in first-team training as Crysencio Summerville shares verdict
Crysencio Summerville has confirmed that Charlie Crew is training with the first team as he picked him out as the best young player at Leeds United.
The Whites have had an excellent season which has certainly benefitted from the impact of young players in the squad.
Daniel Farke has shown faith in talents like Georginio Rutter and Summerville while promoting Archie Gray to the first team.
Speaking at the EFL Awards, shared by Football Manager on TikTok, the Dutchman has picked out and praised one Leeds academy star.
He said: “We have trained with Charlie Crew, and I think he is a really good midfielder. Keep a look out for him because he’s a really good player.”
Gray added: “He’s been training with us for a few weeks. He’s a really good player.”
Who is coming through at Leeds United?
There has been an added focus this season from Daniel Farke to champion the young players that he has at his fingertips.
He has certainly made the most of the players already available to him. Summerville has caught the eye more than most with his 28-goal involvements [FotMob].

Mateo Joseph is one player who made his first team debut last season but has featured more regularly this campaign. He has scored one Championship goal while getting a double at Stamford Bridge v Chelsea.
Charlie Crew is a player that everyone at Elland Road is excited about from fans to players. He has so far featured in two first-team matchday squads but is yet to make his debut.
With star players like Summerville and Gray offering their support for the youngster, he could be a fan favourite in no time.
