Leeds United: Gaby Ruiz and Alberto Cordero to quit Leeds United as Victor Orta fallout continues

Gaby Ruiz and Alberto Cordero are set to leave Leeds United as the fallout from Victor Orta’s exit continues, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The newspaper reported on Wednesday (10 May) that Ruiz and Cordero were both spotted watching the Leeds United Under-21s earlier this week but Orta’s allies will exit Elland Road soon.

It is understood that they both worked closely alongside former director of football Orta and ahead of the summer transfer window, Leeds could “seek outside help to determine whether targets already identified are the right fit”.

Busy summer

If Leeds are relegated from the Premier League, there’s going be a huge shift behind the scenes at Elland Road.

Not only will a large number of players end up leaving the Yorkshire club, but Andrea Radrizzani will also have to strike a new deal with 49ers Enterprises over the proposed takeover.

Leeds will also need to bring in a new director of football, which will of course hinge on the ownership at Elland Road and also replace all the staff that leave because of Orta’s exit.

And then there’ll be the management situation too as we doubt Sam Allardyce will stay on at Leeds, even if he does manage to keep us in the Premier League.

It’ll be all-change for the club and in one summer, that’s a lot to go through.

Financially, things are reportedly good, so that’s one thing that no one needs to worry about.

But relegation is going to lead to turmoil in all quarters.

Unfortunately, it does seem as though that’s the likely future Leeds United face.
