Leeds United forward Bobby Kamwa joins Dunfermline Athletic on loan
Leeds United forward Bobby Kamwa has joined Dunfermline Athletic on loan until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old could make his debut in Saturday’s crucial clash against Queen of the South which can be billed as a relegation six-pointer.
The striker is not in Marcelo Bielsa’s plans and his future probably lies away from Leeds, with his contract now set to expire at the end of this season.
No future at Leeds United
The youngster last played for the Under-23 side in April.
The Whites were ready to offload him during the summer, but the move didn’t materialise. Kamwa’s progress at the club has been seriously hampered by injuries. He missed a chunk of the 2019/20 season as a result.
However, prior to that, he was in good form, but the season was cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last season, he managed only two goals in eight of Leeds’ Premier League two fixtures.
In 2020, he has clearly dropped down the pecking order at Thorp Arch following the arrivals of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood.
The duo has been impressive and even featured in the first team this season. The Scottish club are fighting for survival and he can make a big impact there.
However, it seems his future lies away from Elland Road as the young striker is unlikely to be given a new deal by the club.
