Leeds United finally get encouraging noises from camp of Feyenoord manager Arne Slot
Leeds United are finally getting some encouraging noises from the camp of Feyenoord manager Arne Slot, according to Leeds Live.
The Whites have found it tough in their search for a new head coach so far firstly with Carlos Corberan opting to sign a new and improved contract at West Brom.
Then Rayo Vallecano’s Andoni Iraola made the decision to remain in Spain with his flourishing La Liga outfit with Slot now emerging as one of the favourites to take over.

“Feyenoord’s Arne Slot, initially considered too difficult to extract, is now moving into view for the Whites,” as quoted by Leeds Live. (9 February)
“There are encouraging noises coming from the right places in the coach’s camp, but his club remain resolute in keeping hold of him.”

Resolution needed.
If you are going to make the decision to sack your manager then a replacement needs to be signed, sealed and brought into the club as quickly as possible.
It seems Leeds United were fairly hopeful of doing this with Corberan in the opening hours after Marsch’s sacking but this failed to materialise.
Then missing out on Iraola who wanted to remain at Vallecano, a small club regardless of their current success is rather worrying if you sit back and think about it.
This now leaves Leeds United in an unwanted position, managerless and frantically looking around Europe in a bid to solve their problem.
Having thrown money around in January on some top signings it’s now pivotal that the Leeds United board get in a suitable manager to take over this squad.
And with Feyenoord evidently keen to keep onto Slot, the Whites could be facing another slammed door-in-the-face kind of moment, an agonising thought for the Elland Road faithful.
