Leeds United’s final position predicted by supercomputer after QPR draw
Leeds are starting to show signs of complacency in the race to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s side were forced to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw away to QPR, having found themselves 2-0 down at one point in the game.
Consistency has been hard to come by for Leeds as of late, with just one win in their last four Championship encounters providing a minor hit to their promotion hopes.
Heading into the final eight games of the season, the Whites are just two points clear at the top, though that could change if Sheffield United win on Sunday (16 March).

Leeds struggle against QPR
Performances for Leeds have been far below their usual standards over the last few weeks, and unless they improve as a matter of urgency, it could have a drastic effect on their season.
Farke will already be feeling the pressure as a result of their recent form, but also in the sense that the German simply needs to deliver promotion to Elland Road this season.
Thankfully, according to the latest Opta supercomputer predictions, Leeds are expected to achieve that, with a 91.86 per cent chance of a top two finish.
Championship | Games played | Points |
Leeds | 38 | 80 |
Burnley | 38 | 78 |
Sheffield United | 37 | 77 |
With that said, their chances of winning the title have dropped over the last few weeks, with a 68.52 per cent chance now present, still over 50 per cent higher than any other side in the league.
The Whites are forecasted to finish the season on 96 points, which would see them finish three points above Sheffield United if the prediction were to come to fruition.

Farke has eight games to secure Premier League football
Simply put, if Farke doesn’t deliver promotion with Leeds this season, it would be a disaster, especially after the disappointment of the previous campaign.
But, at least for now, the Whites are still in the driving seat to achieve that, and until that changes, any concerns can be put on the back burner for the time being.
The international break has come at a good time for Leeds, who need to use this period to regroup and get ready to go again ahead of the final eight games.
