These Leeds fans think Whites have just dropped massive hint about Ben White on Twitter

There are many Leeds United fans who have now officially given up on the club signing Ben White this summer.

Hope has been getting snuffed out by various reports of the huge price tag that Brighton have put on their centre-back.

According to David Anderson from The Mirror, it’s £40m. Times journalist Duncan Castles has heard it’s £55m next summer.

But the final straw for a lot of Leeds fans is the fact that the club has now stopped following Ben White on Twitter.

This was spotted by a number of eagle-eyed Leeds fans on Tuesday, with one proving it had happened in a video attached to his tweet.

One fan said that Leeds were still following him on Instagram and that it didn’t mean anything.

However, that was followed quickly by another fan who pointed out that Leeds had just unfollowed White on Instagram, too.

What are the alternatives?

One name that keeps cropping up with Leeds fans now is Robin Koch and the Freiburg centre-back could be the man to help the fans get over the break-up.

The 24-year-old has two caps for Germany and is still only 24 – and he’s been name-checked by Victor Orta before.

Koch is in the final year of his contract and he looks like the player that Leeds are going to go for if they have to admit defeat over White.

Looking at all the evidence that’s out there it does seem as if Leeds are going to have to throw the towel in and move on.

It seems the only way that the move could happen now is if White puts in a transfer request and there’s been no indication that he wants to do that so far.
