Leeds United fans should ‘be worried’ about relegation – Chris Sutton

Leeds United welcome Crystal Palace to Elland Road this evening with at least one eye still firmly fixed over their shoulder at the relegation zone.

The Whites were dragged just that little bit closer to the bottom three yesterday after Burnley pulled off a surprise win at home to Wolves to move out of danger.

That plunged Everton into the drop zone after they suffered a 2-0 Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool with the Toffees looking desperate to find form with games running out fast.

Things are still worrying for the Whites though and Chris Sutton thinks supporters need to be worried, especially if they are beaten by Palace tonight.

“Leeds going down “impossible,“ says Robbie Savage… I’d be worried now Leeds fans,” Sutton said via his personal Twitter account.

Got enough

Sutton may be forgetting how good Leeds have been since Jesse Marsch came in as the new manager but he will be getting a big reminder this evening.

To be fair to him, it has been a very long time since we played a game and maybe the rustiness will be on show early on but it shouldn’t take long for us to find our groove again.

Victory tonight will all but guarantee our safety for another season and even though the magical 40-point mark won’t have been hit, you can’t see any of the four below the Whites overhauling them.

We’re sure Sutton would love to see us back down in the Championship so he can be proven right but with Watford and Norwich almost gone already, it seems highly unlikely.

Even if Burnley and Everton went on a mad run of results, we are also going really well and three points this evening will virtually cement our Premier League status.

In other Leeds United news, Michael Owen has made a strong prediction for tonight’s game at LS11.
