Leeds United have confirmed the loan signing of Jack Harrison from Manchester City on Monday evening.
The Whites have decided to seal a third loan switch for the winger, despite having the option to sign him for £8million this summer.
Instead, Harrison will spend another year on loan at Elland Road, and will now have to spend £10million to make his switch permanent next year.
Harrison improved massively this season compared to his first year, and if he continues that trend in the Premier League, Leeds could secure themselves a bargain.
Eagled-eyed fans could be mistaken for paying more attention to the Adidas polo shirt that Harrison was wearing in the announcement.
The black polo shirt was in a half-and-half design, with the three stripes gold on one side, and white on the other.
It also featured Leeds’ new secondary kit sponsor Clipper, a deal which was announced first thing on Monday morning.
The gold on the shirt could be to signify the fact that Leeds are the current title holders going into the top-flight, something which is usually done by most champions, no matter which division.
If this is a sign of things to come, we would be delighted. The home shirt could follow suit and feature gold on the famous white Leeds strip.
The executive director of new shirt sponsor SBOTOP, Bill Mummery admitted that it would be another three weeks until the kit reveal – something we can’t wait for after this glimpse.
We all knew the three stripes would look delightful at Leeds, but who could have predicted it would look this good – Kappa who?
