Leeds United fan shares team pic in Newcastle, Jack Harrison missing

There have been whispers on social media regarding the availability of Leeds United duo Raphinha and Jack Harrison against Newcastle United on Friday.

A Leeds fan called Luke has posted a photo of the team on social emdia.

He wrote [LukeN91 Twitter]: “Just seen all players. Raphinha there, no Harrison. Whether Raphinha is starting or not we will see.”

One positive, one negative?

Well, there looks to be one bit of good news for Marcelo Bielsa ahead of tonight’s clash at St. James Park.

Doubts have started to emerge over Raphinha’s availability on Twitter, with reports that Raphinha has suffered a thigh injury.

That may still be the case, of course, but if he’s walking around Newcastle that’s at least a positive sign that there is no serious injury.

His participation tonight, however, looks to be in doubt.

Harrison, however, could be out with a positive COIVD-19 test.

LUFC Fanzone Twitter, who are followed by a number of players on their social media profiles, tweet that there were “strong rumours” regarding his absence for the trip to Newcastle, and it appears those rumours may well be true.

It’s a big loss to Marcelo Bielsa tonight, especially if Raphinha can play no part.

That would deprive the Argentine of his two first-choice wingers.

That will surely pave the way for Dan James’ full debut, while Crysencio Summerville will be desperate to take the other spot, though Stuart Dallas may be a more likely option there.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites made a summer approach to sign this English attacker from a Premier League rival.
