Leeds United eyed move for Monaco manager Philippe Clement

Leeds United are reportedly keen on appointing Monaco manager Philippe Clement but are unlikely to succeed in their quest.

According to Telegraaf on 13 February, the Belgian manager is being held to his contract by his club who are unwilling to part ways with him.

Clement has won the Belgian Pro League on three consecutive occasions with two different clubs between 2018 and 2021.

Would’ve been decent

Clement goes down as yet another manager linked with Leeds and another failure in their quest to find Jesse Marsch’s successor.

Clement’s track record suggests that he would be the right fit for the Whites and could get this squad to play up to their level.

This is not a squad that deserves to be in the Championship and it’s important that they’re coached by a manager capable of winning trophies.

Not just his three league titles, but Clement has also won the Super Club along with a number of individual honours – proving just how good a manager he is.

Hopefully, the Whites appoint someone good enough and we’re delighted that Alfred Schreuder is no longer in contention for the job.

The fans were vehemently opposing the fact that he was at the Manchester United game and was even closing in on moving to Elland Road.
