Leeds United are braced for summer interest in Kalvin Phillips, Raphinha and Illan Meslier, according to The Athletic.

It is reported that losing any of their key players would be "crushing" in the short term at Elland Road.

Despite that, it would also present a net positive to create the chance to largely re-invest in the playing squad.

Leeds are building their side around these players, and it would take something huge to take them away.

Money talks, though, and if something silly comes flying through the door in the summer, it may be hard to turn down.

The Athletic have used their data to share where Rpahinha would shine, and that would be Juventus, based on many different metrics.

If nearly £75million comes through for someone such as Raphinha, who was brought in for less than £20million, would turn heads.

That money could be used to sign two or three players, something that Leicester have been doing in recent years.

Meslier is already tied down to a new long-term contract at the club, and there will be a huge effort to make sure the other two are as well.

Phillips and Raphinha are two names who this entire club should be built around, and both appear willing to put pen to paper on a new contract at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa would never give the green light for selling any of these players, but it won't stop many from trying in the upcoming summer.
