Leeds United expected to sign new goalkeeper within next week
Leeds United have not yet done yet with their transfer dealings and their next signings could arrive as early as next week, as reported by Leeds Live.
Beren Cross reports on 3 August that a new goalkeeper is likely to be the next addition at Elland Road, although the club is still looking to add a striker and a left-back before the end of the window.
Illan Meslier remains the first-choice goalkeeper at Elland Road. Kristoffer Klaesson is the back-up option but he picked up an issue behind closed doors last week.
That problem has “escalated” the move for a second-choice stopper. It has become a serious issue for the club, and the Whites will look to bring one player in that position in the next few days.
Necessary
The deadline is still four weeks away and Leeds have got loads of time to bring in one or two more players.

Adding a new goalkeeper was probably not in their initial plans this summer, but the injury to Klaesson means another back-up option is required.
At the moment, it is not clear who the club are targeting, but it seems a new signing will arrive shortly.
As far as signing a striker is concerned, this is a tricky situation. Jesse Marsch appears to be happy with Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt, as he feels that more goals will come from attacking midfield.
At the same time, one or two injuries could disrupt the plan, and it’s always safe to have back-up options ready.
It will be interesting to see if Leeds move for a genuine number nine, someone like Che Adams, or they look to add versatile players like Maxwel Cornet who can play upfront when needed.
In other Leeds United news, a 29-year-old has snubbed interest from Europe to move to Elland Road with the move subject to a work permit.
