Leeds United expected to complete Weston McKennie signing on Monday, he'll miss Juventus v Monza - Sky Sports Italy

Leeds United are expected to complete the signing of Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie on Monday (30 January), as reported by Sky Sports Italy.

McKennie, 24, will miss the next game for Juventus against Monza this weekend. Leeds are pushing hard for the midfielder and an offer in the region of £24.6m has been submitted already.

While Juventus are demanding a fee in the region of £30m, Leeds are unlikely to raise their offer as there is not too much competition for him.

Contacts have begun in the past few hours, and there is a feeling that the deal could reach a turning point in the next few days.

Likely

Leeds have come up with a big offer once again, and they should be able to seal the deal for McKennie.

Since joining the club permanently in 2022, he has been a regular for the Old Lady, but he hasn’t been able to make a huge impact as expected of him.

The Whites primarily looked to sign a left-back and a striker this month. They added Max Wober and Georginio Rutter already, and it seems the club will look to push for one more signing.

The presence of Tyler Adams, Brendan Aaronson and Jesse Marsch himself is a big attraction for the American midfielder to join Elland Road this month.

Most importantly, Leeds have submitted a very good offer, and unless other suitors come up with a tempting bid, it looks likely that he would be allowed to move to Yorkshire.

He is a technically gifted midfielder and should be a handy addition to the side. It remains to be seen if the Whites will still make an attempt to sign Azzedine Ounahi if they manage to land McKennie in the next few days.
