Leeds United expected to be ‘busy right up until the window closes’, backed to complete multiple signings on transfer deadline day
Leeds United are expected to be “busy right up until the window closes” at 11pm on Friday and multiple transfers could be completed on deadline day, according to Ryan Taylor.
The Express journalist told GIVEMESPORT (30 August) that there are “always” a series of deals done in the final 24 hours and he expects as many as three new arrivals in that time.
Daniel Farke has been boosted by the likes of Joel Piroe arriving for big money from Swansea City and Djed Spence coming in on loan from Tottenham over the last week of the window, with multiple bids tabled, particularly for midfielders, after a summer which largely saw players going the opposite direction.

Taylor said: “I still think we’ll see some movement at Leeds. They might bring in two or three on deadline day. It always happens on deadline day.
“There are always multiple deals that come in. So, I think Leeds will be busy right up until the window closes. But I think they’re starting to turn the corner now. They got a great result at Ipswich, and Piroe has lifted the place. They’ve got a few more in, so I think they’re on to something now.”
Redemption?
What was a miserable transfer window at Elland Road so long has already been improved greatly with ambitious moves, and serious money spent on Piroe above all.
Even after the latest additions Farke is still down on the squad from last season, after the permanent departures of Rodrigo and Tyler Adams, expiring contracts and loans, and a long succession of loan departures.
With fringe players still likely to move on the midfield in particular is remains fairly short of numbers and despite the arrival of the likes of Joe Rodon and Spence from Spurs the Leeds United defence has been a weakness for a long time.

If the Whites are able to address the remaining holes in the squad by the time 11pm rolls around then the recruitment figures of Farke, Gretar Steinsson and Nick Hammond will have pulled of an impressive late rescue job.
Only a couple of weeks ago alarm bells were ringing on signings, and understandably so, but some concerns already have eased after the performance in the 4-3 win at Ipswich with closer to a full-strength side.
The final deals, in or out, could ultimately end up being the difference between promotion and another year in the second tier so making the right decisions will be crucial, but the improvements already made in the wake of a major exodus from Elland Road this summer look positive.
As many as three late deals on the final day would boost that even further and might go somewhat to making up for the uncertain early months of the window.
In other Leeds United news, one player who rejected a switch to Elland Road this summer has indicated that Victor Orta is the reason.
