Leeds United expect transfer offers from German and Dutch clubs for Newcastle target Cody Drameh

Leeds United are reportedly expecting offers for Cody Drameh in the January transfer window with Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund keen on signing him.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post [28 November], Drameh’s camp says that the two sides are “seriously” taking a look at him.

From Leeds’ point of view, they’re expecting clubs from England, Germany and the Netherlands to come in with offers and an exit is on the cards in the January transfer window.

Bidding war?

We can understand why Drameh would want to leave Leeds as he’s not being treated like an important player who can see a clear way to get first-team minutes.

He’s on the fringes and there’s an impression that many at the club do not see him making the leap to becoming a regular player.

If Newcastle and Dortmund are keen on signing him, Leeds can look to spark a bidding war and raise the valuation of the 20-year-old.

Dortmund are a Champions League side and are known to keep an eye on young talent as they groom them into quality players and sell them for ridiculous profits.

Newcastle too, have shown that they’re willing to spend big money under the new ownership and they find themselves in the Champions League spots currently.

Money will not be an issue for either of the two sides and may come down to the player’s preference as both teams will likely be willing to spend a decent amount on him.
