Leeds United exit to be finalised within hours for Tyler Adams as medical scheduled in London

Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is set to leave Elland Road for Premier League club Bournemouth in the next 24 hours, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The journalist reported via his personal Twitter account on Friday (18 August) that the USA international has a medical booked in London for later today.

Romano added that the 24-year-old, who joined Leeds from RB Leipzig last summer, will sign a contract with the Cherries after undergoing his medical.

“Tyler Adams to Bournemouth, here we go soon!” Romano wrote on Twitter. “Medical booked in London later today – after agreement reached with Leeds United.

“Deal to be finalised in the next 24hrs as Adams has accepted conditions of the agreement. Contract signing scheduled after medical.”

Leeds United

Huge loss

As was expected following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last season, Leeds have already lost several senior stars this summer.

The likes of Robin Koch, Max Wober, Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson and Marc Roca have all moved on temporarily, with Rodrigo leaving Elland Road permanently.

There had been hope that new manager Daniel Farke could at least keep some of his main stars at the club for another season, but that hope is quickly fading amid the impending exit of midfield maestro Adams.

He hasn’t been at the West Yorkshire outfit for long, and even missed many games last season through injury, but his importance to the Whites was evident when he was on the pitch.

Leeds will miss the player’s tenacity and energy in midfield, with the Whites potentially even staying in the top flight for another campaign had Adams managed to stay fit for all 38 matches.

In other Leeds United news, EFL protocol means one Whites man cannot play against West Brom on Friday.
