Leeds United exit news as Max Wober leaves club on Tuesday
Leeds United defender Max Wober left Daniel Farke’s side on Tuesday, 25 June to join Borussia Monchengladbach on loan, according to the Daily Mail.
The Austrian defender has long been rumoured to join the German side this transfer window and has completed his temporary move, despite no official announcement being made by either club.
Leeds have been active on social media in the last day, posting plenty of photos of the squad as they prepare for the new season, but there has been no mention of Wober in any statements of photos so far.

Discussing the Whites’ window as they close in on Karl Darlow, Simon Jones wrote, “The club saw Max Wober join Borussia Monchengladbach on loan yesterday.”
Wober only joined the Whites in January from RB Salzburg, but like many at Elland Road, a clause in his contract allowed him to leave either temporarily or permanently following relegation.
Strange window
The mass exodus at Elland Road has left this feeling like an incredibly strange transfer window and we’ve still got nearly six weeks left of the rumour mill churning and plenty of players who could depart.
On the other hand, the incoming business has been rather dull, with just Ethan Ampadu through the door and Darlow close, the 49ers have been hugely restricted by financial fair play restrictions.
However, Wober’s signing in January personifies why Leeds have ended up in this situation, throwing money at another unproven Premier League player in the hope that it would just about give them enough to stay in the top-flight.

What will be interesting is what happens to Daniel Farke’s side if they were to get promoted this coming season, there will be a sudden influx of returning loan talent that will eclipse any business completed this summer.
However, that remains a big if, for now the Whites and their new owners seriously need to get to work strengthening what looks like a rather unfinished squad, less than two weeks before the Championship gets underway.
In other Leeds United news, Darlow appears to be the perfect fit for a Farke side ahead of joining the Whites
