Leeds United enquire over Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn
Leeds United have made enquiries for Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.
However, the Whites could be set for disappointment with the 25-year-old English shot-stopper close to joining Norwich City [The Athletic], the club where his father, Bryan, became a club legend.
The Athletic report claims a fee has been agreed between Southampton and Norwich, with the Canaries set to pay an initial fee of around £5million with the Saints hoping to net around £7million in total.
However, the former England Under-21 international is yet to agree personal terms, and there are a clutch of clubs interested in his services, as shared by Crook on his personal Twitter profile.
He wrote: “Told Saints also had enquiries from Wolves, Leeds United and Fulham.”
Gunn rose through the ranks at Premier League champions Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola left thoroughly impressed by his confidence on the ball, promoting him to the first team before he eventually departed. [Mirror]

Kiko out the door?
This surely indicates it’s goodbye for Kiko Casilla at Elland Road.
The veteran Spanish goalkeeper has a contract with the Whites until 2023 but all the indications are that he will be allowed to leave this summer, if a club will take him.
The former Real Madrid man has been usurped in the pecking order by 21-year-old Illan Meslier, who shone for Marcelo Bielsa’s side last season.
Going for Gunn looks like a smart move by the club, though it sounds as if a deal could be difficult with Norwich firmly in the driving seat.
However, with personal terms yet to be agreed, there is still a chance negotiations could break down, and the Whites could swoop back in.
Gunn has had a tough time at Southampton, playing in patches, but ultimately flattering to deceive as he was sent on loan to Championship outfit Stoke City last season.
He may not be near Meslier’s level, but he would represent a fairly dependable option if the Frenchman is ever sidelined, and the deal would not be a costly one to complete.
