Leeds United encouraged by progress made by winger Luis Sinisterra in training
Leeds United are encouraged by the progress made by Luis Sinisterra in training, as reported by Phil Hay.
Writing for The Athletic, the journalist has hailed the Colombian winger as a “wildcard” and reports that although he is not doing full training yet, there are signs of progress.
There is optimism within the Leeds camp that his absence will not extend too far beyond December 28, when Leeds will face Manchester City in the Premier League.

Hay adds that Sinisterra is scheduled to “complete lighter work” as the Whites want to ensure his damaged ligament is fully healed.
Need him badly
The Colombian has the ability to unbalance defenders and Leeds fans will hope that he can make a big impact.
The first six months have promised big things from him, but it is only in flashes. After losing Raphinha to Barcelona, Leeds need Sinisterra to fill the void, and he is capable of doing that.
The winger posted a picture this week where he is seen wearing a protective boot guarding an injured foot.
It has been stop-gap progress for him at the club. He picked up a red card in the goalless draw with Aston Villa, got injured in the pre-season and also in October, and it hasn’t helped him properly settle down.

But he is someone who can bring flair to the side at Elland Road. Plus, there is an element of unpredictability to his game.
His attacking statistics in Netherlands and his performances in Europe convinced the Whites that he can be a star at Roland Road.
Let’s hope, he can return to full training quickly and make a huge impact in the second half of the campaign.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now scouting an attacker at the World Cup and a January move appears to be on the cards for them.
