Leeds United EFL issue holds up Daniel Farke announcement – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has been left disappointed by the length it has taken Leeds United to hire their new head coach.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported on 26 June that Leeds’ hunt for a new boss could spill into the weekend with 2 July mooted as a potential announcement day.
Robinson believes the EFL ratification of the takeover is having an impact on the 49ers’ ability to name the German as the man to spearhead Leeds’ promotion push.

“You have got to get out of the Championship. You need a manager and a squad to get you out of the Championship,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“There’s going to be a lot of upheaval and change at Elland Road in the next few weeks. It’s going to have to be done quickly as the players are back for pre-season soon. It’s disappointing it’s taken so long but the deal has to be ratified by the EFL.

“I think that’s what’s holding up the announcement at present. I think Farke, Vieira and Scott Parker have been linked. Either of those three would be very capable of taking this team out of the Championship.
“You don’t want to stay in the second tier for a long time, you need to bounce back. Farke has got knowledge of the second tier and has done it before.
“I think one of the key things in the Championship is knowing the league and understanding it.”
In other Leeds United news, the club are set to react to an impending Elland Road exodus with “ambitious” incoming transfer plans.
