Leeds United early team news v Sheffield Wednesday: Jaidon Anthony update
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has suggested Jaidon Anthony will miss out again on Friday against Sheffield Wednesday, as relayed by The Athletic reporter Phil Hay on X.
The winger, who is on loan with the Whites from AFC Bournemouth, sat out against Stoke City last time out as well.
The Whites head to Hillsborough on 8 March as they look to keep their push for automatic promotion from the Championship on track.
They beat the Potters 1-0 on Tuesday night with winger Dan James scoring the winner in the first-half.
Journalist Hay has provided the latest team news regarding the club on X (6 March): “Expects the same squad as yesterday’s game. Indicating that Jaidon Anthony will miss out again. No major concerns after the Stoke win.”
Jaidon Anthony to miss out for Leeds United against Sheffield Wednesday
Not having Anthony is a bit of a setback for Leeds again. He provides them with useful competition and depth on the wing and his pace is a decent weapon to use in games.
Nevertheless, they do have strong strength in depth in their attacking department and players like James, who will be in confident mood after scoring against Stoke, and Wilfried Gnonto will be ready to step up again.
Anthony joined the Whites on a temporary basis last summer and was given the green light to leave Bournemouth to get some game time under his belt in the second tier. He has since made 24 league appearances in this campaign and has scored once.

Sheffield Wednesday will be tricky opponents for Leeds as they fight for their lives at the bottom end of the table. They remain in the drop zone but have won their last four games on the spin under Danny Rohl.
In other Leeds news, £50m+ rival development could see the Whites lose a key player this summer.
