Leeds United duo Willy Gnonto and Max Wober injury update shared by Phil Hay
Willy Gnonto and Max Wober are reportedly likely to play some part for Leeds United when they take on Nottingham Forest.
According to Phil Hay, Gnonto has an ankle concern and Wober has a hamstring strain and that’s what kept them out v Arsenal on 1 April.
However, the Athletic journalist claims that they’re in contention to be fit for the game at Elland Road on 4 April.

He wrote in his Q&A, “The slightly positive news on that front is that it’s possible that Wober or Gnonto will play some part in next week’s games, which are clearly huge.
“Wober has a hamstring strain, Gnonto has an ankle injury. Neither problem is adjudged to be serious. So it’s not to say they’ll definitely be involved in next week’s games but whereas Adams is already ruled out, Wober/Gnonto have more of a chance.”
Much needed
It can be argued that both players were direly missed against Arsenal and Javi Gracia will be keen on bringing them back.
Whether or not they’re ready to play from the kick-off, remains to be seen, but the Spaniard will be relieved that he’s at least got the option of getting them on off the bench.
Gnonto may not have the end product one expects from an attacking player, but he has that ability to create chaos and can be a useful option off the bench.

Even during the international break for Italy v England, he did not start the game, but when he came off the bench, he was a constant threat from the left flank.
Wober, on the other hand, can operate as a centre-back and left-back and this means he can provide more than adequate cover for Junior Firpo who likes to attack.
These two players will certainly be crucial as the Whites are desperately battling against relegation this season.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites may now be able to land a target they made an approach for in January with his club now waiting for £20million offer.
