Leeds United duo Kalvin Phillips & Raphinha will not talk to other clubs ahead of summer

Leeds United star duo Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha will not be talking to other clubs for a move ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports by 90min.

The pair have been linked with moves to a host of clubs and with the Whites’ Premier League status under threat, the club have halted any contract talks.

Newcastle and Aston Villa are among the many clubs reported to have a strong interest in Phillips.

Whilst Raphinha remains on Catalonian giants Barcelona’s radar but are yet to make contact with the Brazilian.

However, the report shares that neither player has made a definitive decision on their long-term future.

Great news.

This is very promising for Leeds and Jesse Marsch.

It is far from definitive but the fact that neither player is talking to other clubs is hugely positive.

Whether or not the Whites are successful or not in their fight to stay in the Premier League will be the biggest factor in whether Phillips and Raphinha stay at Elland Road next season and that is no guarantee as things stand.

Should Everton win their game in hand, Leeds will fall into the drop zone on goal difference as they sit on the same amount of points as Burnley.

Hopefully, the club can get these deals over the line. You could understand why the pair would want to leave after this season but Marsch is leading the charge as the Whites embark on a new journey.

If they, along with several other key players, stay at Elland Road and they strengthen their squad in the summer – anything is possible next season.
