Leeds United duo Gelhardt and Roberts out of West Ham clash, Bamford returns
Leeds United duo Joe Gelhardt and Tyler Roberts have been ruled out of the FA Cup clash against West Ham on Sunday.
In his pre-game press conference, Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that the duo will be out for at least a month.
Meanwhile, Patrick Bamford, who has spent several weeks on the sidelines, is in line to make a return and could play in the game.
LeedsLive’s Beren Cross rehashed Bielsa’s team news via his personal Twitter account, “Gelhardt and Roberts out for a month. Bamford should be able to play on Sunday.”
Big blow
Gelhardt was seeming to be an ideal player to bring off the bench when the chips were down.

He came on to win a late penalty v Wolves and has influenced a number of games with his second-cameos.
With Bamford, an Elland Road fan favourite, returning to action, he would’ve liked to have someone like the 20-year-old serving as his deputy.
There’s nothing to suggest that Gelhardt and Bamford can’t play in the same eleven together and Bielsa surely would have tried that combination some time in training.
However, now he will have to wait until February before he can think of playing Gelhardt again.
Losing Roberts means that Bamford will now only have Rodrigo to play in his absence and the Spaniard has barely featured as a lone striker during his time at Leeds.
Hopefully, Bamford does not get injured until the end of the season as he is the only reliable goal scorer they have bar Raphinha.
