Leeds United: Destiny Udogie sends message to Willy Gnonto amid Tottenham transfer speculation
Tottenham star Destiny Udogie has left a comment on Wilfried Gnonto’s Instagram account after the Spurs-linked forward scored again for Leeds United.
Gnonto made it two goals in as many games when he opened the scoring at Home Park as the Whites beat Plymouth Argyle 4-1 in an FA Cup fourth-round replay on Tuesday 6 February.
After the match, the 20-year-old took to Instagram (7 February) and posted a photo of himself celebrating his strike, with Spurs ace and fellow Italian Udogie commenting “Again?” while his Leeds teammate Mateo Joseph labelled him an “Expensive player” in the comments section.
Udogie’s comment in particular will spark interest among Leeds and Tottenham supporters after Gnonto was previously linked with a move to North London in January.
Leeds United must provide clarity on Gnonto’s future at Elland Road
Gnonto’s future was one of the biggest talking points in West Yorkshire last summer, and rumours of the forward making an exit from the club showed no signs of letting up in January.
Supporters at Elland Road will likely just be keen to have some idea of where the Italian’s future lies, one way or the other.
It has been a quiet season so far for Gnonto under Daniel Farke, although if the last two games are anything to go by he seems to now be rediscovering the form which made him such an exciting prospect in the Premier League last season.

If he can continue on this upward trajectory, interest in the player from elsewhere will only begin to pick up again ahead of the summer transfer window.
Leeds won’t want another Gnonto saga on their hands and will be keen to sort out the player’s future come June.
In other Leeds United news, a BBC Sport pundit has questioned Farke for a decision the German made in the win against Plymouth.
