Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen savaged by journalist for bad decisions last week
Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen, who’s currently out on loan at Roma, has been savaged for his performance for Denmark v Finland on 10 September.
Danish media outlet Tipsbladet journalist Mikkel Fuhr Nielson wrote on Monday (11 September), that Kristensen proved exactly why he’s the third-choice right-back for the national team.
The 26-year-old picked up a yellow card and despite keeping a clean sheet en route to a 1-0 victory, was given a 1/10 rating.

Nielson wrote, “The AS Roma loanee is currently the third choice in the Danish national team, and you kind of understand that. After 12 minutes of play, he was set and had to pull on the emergency brake and collect a yellow card. It very well set the tone for the rest of the match, which was full of wrong passes and bad decisions by Rasmus Nissen Kristensen.”
Shocking
Kristensen’s career looked to be on the rise when he moved to Elland Road but he clearly has not lived up to the billing.
Signed as someone who was seen as eventually becoming the first choice option at right-back, he did very little in one season to prove that.
The fact that Luke Ayling kept getting selected over him suggests that he was clearly not performing to the standards expected of him.

Most Leeds fans would not have been upset at the fact that the Dane is not going to be there for this season.
However, they would’ve wanted a decent transfer fee from him but he left on loan as a clause in his contract allowed that to happen.
His performances for Denmark and Roma now make the chances of a permanent sale that much more unlikely and it’s undoubtedly shocking.
