Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen not in best condition as Roma update emerges

Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen is not in the best condition since moving to Roma on loan, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reported in its print edition on Wednesday (23 August, Page 5) that Jose Mourinho demands more from his full-backs, including the Denmark international.

Kristensen left Elland Road this summer as he had a relegation clause in his contract that the Serie A outfit decided to trigger.

Not that good

Mourinho demands a great deal from his full-backs and surely the assumption while signing Kristensen was that he would be a good fit.

They signed Diego Llorente too from Leeds and he hit the ground running in Italy but the same cannot be said about the Dane.

The 26-year-old is not the best defensively and even going forward, one does not seem to get the feeling that he can wreak havoc.

It remains to be seen how he fares in the coming games or there’s a realistic possibility of him being asked by Mourinho.

The Portuguese has been ruthless with players in the past and he could do the same thing with Kristensen as well.

He’s still currently on Leeds’ books and it remains to be seen if he wants to return in January due to the lack of game time if the recall option exists.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have now emerged as favourites to sign a Premier League player likened to Lionel Messi.
