Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk may be subject to Premier League transfer interest

Premier League clubs reportedly will not be deterred in their pursuit to sign Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk in the transfer window.

According to Tutto Mercato Web [29 May], despite his signing a new deal, clubs from England and European nations will be looking to bring in the Dutch defender.

Struijk, a centre-back by trade, has featured as a left-back on several occasions for Leeds this past season.

Will he leave?

It can be argued that Struijk’s the club’s best defender and losing him would be a huge blow for the next Leeds manager.

Not only is he versatile but he’s also consistent and under the right manager, he can thrive and take the club to the next level.

However, there are certainly going to be clubs keen on securing his services and it remains to be seen who all take the punt on him.

He would be a good option for a number of bottom-half clubs in the Premier League and they could shell out a few million quid on him as well.

While Leeds will not want to lose their best players, sometimes it may be too hard to turn a bid for a player if the money is good.

Struijk too, will want to play in the Premier League, and if he’s not satisfied with the changes behind the scenes, he could look to leave.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that an international player at Elland Road has no place at the club next season and a summer transfer is on the cards.
