Leeds United have confirmed that Junior Firpo will be available for their Under-21s game against Southampton on Friday.

This will be the first time since last season that fans will get to witness the Spain international who signed from Barcelona last summer.

His career has not kicked off as many thought he would, but he now looks to return and stake his claim in the first team for the Whites.

Firpo will not be the only main attraction as there will be more first-team players that will be in action, looking to return to full fitness.

Via Twitter, Leeds said, “Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford Luke Ayling, Junior Firpo, Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins set to feature in Friday’s U21s clash at Elland Road.”

With such a star-studded lineup for an under-21s game, ticket sales are sure to go over the roof.

Leeds posted ticket information to their website and claimed that over 7000 had already been sold – advising fans to book their seats prior to the day of the clash.

With it being only £6 for an adult and half the price for a child we’re expecting a lot more to be sold after this announcement has been made.

It will also give fans the chance to watch some live football as the game against Manchester United has been called off and an international break the following week means that Leeds will next play Aston Villa in October.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have reached an agreement to sign a left-back, according to his agent.
