Leeds United defender Cody Drameh unlikely to feature in FA Cup clash v Cardiff City
Leeds United defender Cody Drameh will surely not be happy with his lack of game time as he’s linked with a move away from the club.
The only reason why he’ll consider extending is if he’s promised game time by Jesse Marsch, but that does not look to be happening at least in the game against Cardiff City on 18 January.
He came off the bench in the 2-2 draw and is likely to be among the substitutes or miss out completely because of his midweek involvement.
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Donnohue was at the under-21s game against West Brom on 16 January and Drameh played the entire game.
Usually, when players are to feature for the senior side later in the week, they’re taken off midway through the game as they do not want to be overworked and risk any further injuries.
However, there did not appear to be any plans hinting at the possibility of the Whites wanting to take him off during the game.
Donnohue wrote on Twitter, “No sign of Perkins, Joseph and Drameh getting substituted any time soon, like they were prior to the original FA Cup fixture vs Cardiff. Only Cian Coleman out to warm up on the touchline and we’ve passed the sixty minute mark.”
The FA Cup was the one tournament where he could’ve been given a chance to prove his worth and now, amid interest from Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund, he may decide to quit and start afresh elsewhere.
