Leeds United decide on Illan Meslier outcome after incident v Sunderland
Leeds United are maintaining confidence in Illan Meslier despite his mistake against Sunderland, according to GIVEMESPORT.
The online outlet reported on 9 October that the Frenchman still isn’t in danger of losing his spot in Daniel Farke’s starting XI despite this error.
The goalkeeper missed the ball in the last stages of the clash against the Black Cats which ultimately threw away all three points for the Whites.
Club sources have insisted that despite this, there are no worries over his position at Leeds with his mistake being labelled as “an unfortunate moment”.
Leeds United to stick by Illan Meslier
There is no getting away from the fact that the goalkeeper made a dreadful mistake which ultimately ruined what would have been a positive result away from home.
This has ruined what has been a largely positive campaign for the former Lorient shot-stopper who has come under fire at different points in his Leeds career.
This has seen him dropped by Sam Allardyce in the past but it doesn’t appear that Farke will be following suit moving further into the season.
The German does have Karl Darlow available to him who is a solid operator in the second tier and could certainly do a job if called upon.

He has already earned promotion from the division with Newcastle United in the past so his experience could prove to be a useful addition.
Even if that may be the case, it appears that the Whites are sticking by their number one in what could be a huge boost to Meslier’s confidence after a tough week.
