Leeds United deal for Arnaud Kalimuendo will include percentage on future sale
Leeds United are stepping up their chase to sign Paris Saint-Germain young talent Arnaud Kalimuendo, as per journalist Ignazio Genuardi.
The former Foot 365 journalist who is being followed by journalists like Lee Ryder, Graeme Bailey among others, has suggested on Twitter that on July 14 that Leeds are working on a package deal of more than £20m.
The Whites are likely to pay £17m upfront and a further £3m as bonus payments to sign the 20-year-old striker. The deal will also include a percentage of a future sale.
It seems Leeds are only left to agree a deal with the player.
Genuardi wrote on Twitter: “For the transfer of Kalimuendo to Leeds, we are talking more about a deal of just over twenty million pounds (including bonus / 17.5 + 3), the deal also being accompanied by a % on possible resale. It is now a matter of agreeing with the player.”
Dream transfer window
You need to pinch yourself to actually believe what has been going on this summer.
Yes, the Whites have lost two of their best players in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, but on the other hand, they have moved quickly in securing their top targets.
Signing a striker is a priority for the club, and it seems the Whites are working on a deal to grab the youngster’s signature.
The youngster spent the past two seasons on loan at RC Lens. Last season, he scored 13 league and cup goals.
He will compete with Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt up front should he move to Elland Road.
We have seen in the past that after a big transfer window, the club often struggle to maintain their form. New players often struggle to get used to new systems, and the transfer strategy can easily backfire.
It is important that Jesse Marsch properly implements his ideas and get the team to function as a proper unit.
If the Whites can add one more attacker and a left-back, it would be a dream window for the club, if not already.
