Leeds United: David Prutton baffled by Raphinha decision last weekend
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton was baffled to see Raphinha left out by Leeds United last weekend.
Speaking in his column in the Yorkshire Evening Post ahead of the Whites’ clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Prutton revealed his thoughts on Raphinha’s return.
The Whites made a huge effort to get the 24-year-old back from international duty, only to leave him out of the squad entirely, but his return should boost the Whites today.

He said: “Leeds have now had another week more for Raphinha to recover, and it’s strange that they moved heaven and earth to get him to St Mary’s and then didn’t use him.”
Raphinha to make an immediate impact.
It seems clear that Prutton is hoping that after a full week of recovery and training, Raphinha will be back in the starting XI.
The Whites massively missed him last Saturday and managed to have just three shots, which is very unlike a Marcelo Bielsa side.
So, hopefully, his return will lead to a much better performance, and you would hope the Whites are just miles better than last Saturday.

The truth is, it would be hard for them to be much worse; they really were awful throughout the whole game.
We do agree with Prutton that it was strange for the Whites to make such an effort to get him back to England only to not use him, but Bielsa must have had his reasons.
We should all just hope that Raphinha can prove to be the difference today to seal back-to-back home wins.
