Leeds United: Danny Mills slams ‘completely wrong’ Pascal Struijk live on talkSPORT amid ‘unbelievable’ scenes
Danny Mills has slammed Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk after he got it “completely wrong” in the build-up to the opening goal for Swansea City on Wednesday (29 November).
Speaking on talkSPORT 2 on Wednesday (07:49pm), the pundit said it was the “craziest” first minute of football he had ever seen as Jamie Paterson put the Swans 1-0 ahead.
He added that he wasn’t sure what the Whites centre-back Struijk was trying to do as his header back to keeper Illan Meslier was intercepted by the 31-year-old forward, who provided a “sensational finish”.

“This has to be the craziest first minute of football I’ve ever seen,” said Mills. “Unbelievable. I’m not really sure what Pascal Struijk was trying to do.
“Was he trying to play the ball back to Joe Rodon? He got it completely wrong. Paterson nipped in and it’s a beautiful little lob on the half-volley. Absolutely sensational finish.”
Poor
It was an extremely poor mistake from Struijk so early in the game after his header was easily latched upon by Paterson and he provided an excellent finish over Meslier’s head.
It was a completely uncharacteristic mistake from the Belgian as he is usually so reliable in the heart of the Whites’ defence alongside Rodon.
Perhaps it was the quick start to the game that caught the 24-year-old off-guard after Dan James had already seen a goal ruled out for offside.

The centre-back will know that he has to be absolutely on it every single game, with Liam Cooper and Charlie Cresswell waiting in the wings for any potential drop-off in form from him.
The Whites will have been delighted to bounce back instantly as Joel Piroe scored just three minutes later to get them back in the game.
In other Leeds United news, a Whites player is surely set for a January exit after the latest Farke snub.
