Leeds United: Daniel Farke to swerve Leicester game amid Tiger Woods Masters admission
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke plans to give a wide berth to Leicester City’s clash with Plymouth Argyle on Friday (12 April) so he can watch Tiger Woods at The Masters.
Leeds’ Championship title rivals are in action at Home Park as they look to cement their position at the top of the table, with the Whites – sitting third – hosting Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on Saturday (13 April).
Farke was asked if he will be tuning in to see how the Foxes get on but the German plans to watch the action at Augusta National instead.
Speaking as a press conference in quotes reported by LeedsLive (12 April), Farke said: “I’m not so sure. We have played both teams this season. It’s not necessary to analyse them even more.
“We are preparing for tomorrow. Perhaps I will watch Augusta – Tiger Woods looks in good shape! I’m not over-excited about the game tonight.”

This time of year is awesome for golf fans because The Masters marks the start of major season and there are few events more popular than The Masters, held at the gorgeous Augusta National.
It seems like you can count Farke in that category too judging by his comments at his press conference and perhaps tuning in to events in Georgia will help take his mind off the Blackburn fixture on Saturday.

However, you do get the sense that Farke will have more than a casual eye on things at Plymouth, something tells us the German will be all over the events in Plymouth because the ramifications are still huge for his Leeds side.
He is right, though, in the sense that there is little he can do to influence that fixture. His focus is, naturally, on Blackburn and their trip to Elland Road, and finding a winning formula after Leeds following a 2-1 defeat at Coventry with a goalless draw at home to Sunderland.
