Leeds United: Daniel Farke provides injury update on Pascal Struijk
Pascal Struijk is to undergo another scan early next week, Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has confirmed.
The Dutch centre-back, 24, has not played since the 2-1 Boxing Day defeat at Preston North End (26 December) due to an adductor injury.
Leeds boss Farke confirmed that Struijk is now set to have a re-check on the issue and that they should get more of an idea over when he can return when the results come back.
Speaking a news conference ahead of Saturday’s (17 December) contest with Plymouth Argyle, Farke said in quotes reported by LeedsLive: “Pascal will have a re-scan at the beginning of next week. We will have a clearer view.”
Pascal Struijk to have another injury scan at Leeds United
Leeds have been excellent in the absence of Struijk and their superb run of form has left them second in the Championship, albeit Southampton do still own a game in hand over the Whites in a thrilling race for promotion.
Ethan Ampadu has mainly filled the void, stepping back from centre-midfield to partner Joe Rodon at the back, but there is no doubt that having Struijk available would be a huge boost ahead of a crucial few months.

The concern right now is that it looks a little unclear how serious the issue is and when Struijk can return but the hope will be that another scan will give everyone, especially Farke, more of an idea of when he can return.
Until then, Leeds just have to keep their focus. They have another lengthy trip to Plymouth to get out of the way this weekend and the importance of coming back to West Yorkshire with three points cannot be overstated.
In other Leeds United news, another senior ace is unavailable to face Plymouth.
