Leeds United could persuade Bielsa to stay if Raphinha signs new deal
Leeds United could reportedly persuade manager Marcelo Bielsa to extend his deal for another year if they tie Raphinha down to a new deal.
According to the Daily Star, the Whites have opened contract talks with the Brazilian and are willing to offer £100k/week or a £5.2million annual contract which will make him the club’s highest earner.
The Brazilian is currently a hot property in the market, having been linked with moves to Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpool.

The report reads, “Despite Raphinha still having more than three years left to run on his current deal, Leeds are willing to hand him a bumper new contract in the coming weeks.”
Hope he signs
If the Argentine stays on for another year, it makes sense to give Raphinha whatever he wants.
The Brazilian knows that the clubs interested in him will be willing to pay top dollar to secure his services.
He’s also aware that a new deal at Elland Road could see the others follow in his footsteps and also commit to the project at the club.
If Bielsa is successfully convinced to stay then it will be considered as a major coup.

He has turned around the fortunes of this club to an extent few would have thought was imaginable and brought them back to the promised land.
In his first Premier League season in charge, he guided Leeds to a top-half finish and they’re steering clear of relegation in the following campaign as well.
Hopefully, the good times continue to roll on under Bielsa and he decides to stay at least for another season.
It remains to be seen how Victor Orta and co. will now handle these negotiations.
