Leeds United could complete manager appointment within hours - Andrea Radrizzani
Andrea Radrizzani has hinted that the Leeds United manager hunt could be over in matter of hours on Tuesday evening.
Speaking on his personal Twitter account just over 24 hours after sacking Jesse Marsch on Monday (6 February), the Leeds chairman said that a successor could be found either on Tuesday night (7 February) or on Wednesday morning (8 February).
Many names have been linked with the vacancy at Elland Road but no reports have emerged about anything being advanced.
“We are on it ….hopefully white smoke by tonight or [tomorrow] morning,” said Radrizzani on Twitter on Tuesday evening (7 February).
We doubt it
Let’s face it, Radrizzani speaks a good game on social media.

He loves to interact with fans, which can be a good thing.
But he’s made himself out to be a bit of a joke on social media too and he’s really put the pressure on himself and his colleagues with this tweet unless a deal has been agreed.
By saying that the “white smoke” could be here by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning suggests that a deal is all but done but nothing has emerged about a potential hire being close.
West Brom’s Carlos Corberan has been strongly linked but surely the promotion-chasing Baggies won’t be that quick to accept a compensation fee?
And the same goes for Rayo Vallecano and their manager Andoni Iraola.
Leeds need to get this hire right because as it stands, they’re right in the Premier League relegation battle.
We’re level on points with 18th-placed Everton, who’ve just hired Sean Dyche and he – you would think – should be the perfect man to lead them to safety.
Bournemouth and Southampton look pretty hopeless.
Worryingly, Leeds looked just as hopeless under Marsch’s leadership.
