Leeds United could be thrown £3m+ within days as 49ers investment twist emerges
Rickie Fowler has confirmed that he might “throw” money at Leeds United – and the American has certainly enjoyed an excellent start to his weekend.
According to Sky Sports on Wednesday 14 June, Fowler, along with Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth could all become part of the investment group at Elland Road.
The Daily Star report on Thursday 15 June, that fellow professional Matt Fitzpatrick’s caddie, Billy Foster is the reason for their interest – as well as being a world-class caddie, Foster is known for being a Leeds fanatic.

Fowler in particular has marked his potential investment with a superb start to the US Open. The 34-year-old is currently tied for the lead on -8 after shooting a round of 62 at Los Angeles Country Club.
The American already has fairly deep pockets. GolfMonthly report that he has earned himself £36.7million in prize money during the course of his career.
If he can continue his excellent form this weekend, that sum will rise further.

Come Sunday evening, the winner of the US Open will pocket £3million. Considering the recent revelations about Leeds, Fowler could well add that to the cash he was intending on throwing in the direction of the West Yorkshire club.
One thing the recent links to Leeds has shown is just how big the 49ers’ investment group is. Of course, there will be bigger and more significant voices, but the money seems to be coming from all angles.
If the Whites can return to the Premier League, a number of investors could well be keen to dive deeper into their already healthy bank accounts.
In other Leeds United news, Newcastle United want to sign one Whites man to help unleash Bruno Guimaraes.
