Leeds United could be faced with worrying situation that would 'ruin' Raphinha's fitness
Leeds United could face a worrying situation that would ruin Raphinha’s fitness if he is called up by Brazil during the upcoming international break, according to the Daily Mirror.
They claim that many Premier League clubs could be set to lose a lot of their key players after the international break due to quarantine rules.
So, if Brazil call up Raphinha and the Whites let him go, he would then have to quarantine for ten days on arrival back in England, which could “ruin” his fitness.
What will Leeds do?
It seems as if many other Premier League clubs are refusing to send their players on international duty – if they have to quarantine when they return.
The report states that the league is in talks with the government to perhaps find a solution, but in the meantime, we would be surprised if the Whites let Raphinha go.
The 24-year-old has started the season well and scored a wonderful goal on Saturday against Everton, so we would be shocked if the Whites let him go and were happy to lose him after the international break.
Of course, he might not even be called up by Brazil, which would be helpful for Leeds, but if he is, then they face a decision unless an agreement can be reached with the government.
So we will be watching on and paying close attention to this situation, but hopefully, a solution is found that suits all parties.
