Leeds United continue to push for Club Brugge winger Noa Lang, 'millions on the way'

Leeds United are continuing to push for in-demand Club Brugge winger Noa Lang, according to Belgium news outlet Voetbalkrant.

The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano had suggested (Caughtoffside substack) that Lang could leave the Juplier League side, with £26.5million likely to be the asking price.

Although a January move didn’t materialise, Voetbalkrant claim (2 March) the 23-year-old is still very much on the radar of Javi Gracia’s side.

“Millions on the way for Club Brugge, after English interest, AC Milan are now also coming up again,” they wrote.

“There is again a lot of interest in Noa Lang. Leeds United continues to push for the Dutch winger.”

The Lang rumours haven’t gone away. They’ve been persistent for a number of transfer windows and it does feel like the summer will be the time the Dutch winger finally departs Belgium.

Victor Orta is evidently a fan of the 23-year-old so it would not be a surprise if the sporting director made a move when the season ends. However, a lot of Leeds’ prospective transfer targets will depend on which league they’re playing their football in come the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

They almost certainly won’t be targeting a player of Lang’s quality if they’re occupying a Championship spot. Gracia will be looking to make it two wins on the spin when his side travel to face Chelsea on Saturday afternoon (4 March).

Graham Potter’s men have endured a tough run of form and have found goals hard to come by. Another defensively sound display could see Leeds lay down the basis of an impressive away victory.

In other Leeds United news, the club were snubbed by this former Premier League manager.
