Leeds United considering third bid for RB Salzburg ace Brenden Aaronson
Leeds United are mulling over a third bid for RB Salzburg midfielder Brenden Aaronson, according to Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Elland Road outfit have seen two offers knocked back by the Austrian giants, with the last one around £20million, and while they plan to return in the summer with another offer, they could attempt to try their luck once more before the January window shuts.
YEP further reports that “unless an unexpected opportunity too good to pass up comes along, it’s Aaronson or nothing “for Leeds this month.
Blow?
It appears Marcelo Bielsa has to wait for a couple of months in order to land the young American.
However, with a couple of days still left in the winter market, just anything is possible, and there could be some other deals that come up in the last minutes.

Leeds may have to stop negotiating for Aaronson as their last bid before the window shuts will be the starting point when negotiations resume in the summer.
They could be willing to add a couple of more millions to the last £20million they went in with, but whether they are willing to break their transfer record for him remains to be seen.
Leeds spent £26million on Rodrigo in a club-record deal in August 2020, but they are likely to be splashing more on another player anytime soon.
Going by weekend’s 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at Elland Road, this squad really could do with some upgrades.
Nevertheless, injuries have denied them the chance to properly compete this season, and the winter break could do them a lot of good.
Most of their players should be back by the time they prepare to take on Aston Villa on February 9, and that should hand them boosts.
