Leeds United are considering a last-gasp move for Ranger star Ryan Kent this week before the window slams shut, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper has reported in its print edition [30 August, pg. 68] that the Whites could revive old interest that has been around for numerous windows now, with the winger in the final year of his deal.

Dan James could be going the other way at Elland Road, with a potential way out on the table to join Spurs in a loan-to-buy switch before Thursday’s deadline.

Writing in his latest daily snippet of the Window Watch, Simon Jones shared the domino effect which could happen at Elland Road before Thursday.

“Leeds United are considering whether to revive their interest in Rangers winger Ryan Kent,” he wrote.

“Tottenham retain an interest Leeds’ Dan James on loan with an option to buy.”

Dilemma.

Looking at our options right now at Elland Road, the only chance of this happening is if James moves on.

Kent has been smashing it at Ibrox in Europe, with Champions League football now around the corner, with the question being does Premier League football each week outweigh that?

Leeds are desperate for a new striker, so bringing in the Englishman would make no sense unless someone was to leave, with the chances of signing someone such as Alfredo Morelos probably higher.

The Colombian has been left out by Giovanni van Bronckhorst due to his attitude in recent weeks, so that is probably why a move for Kent is being considered rather than him.

With less than 48 hours to go, Leeds are facing big calls from the Elland Road stands to get an attacking deal over the line, but for a number nine – we don’t need another winger.

Luis Sinisterra could get his first Premier League start against Everton on Tuesday evening, and our marquee winger signing this summer will be looking to prove we don’t need another one.

All eyes on Elland Road.
